(AND NEITHER ARE YOU)
After being sexually assaulted by a stranger, a gay man quietly begins his recovery. But when he reaches a suicidal breaking point, his trauma begins to affect his partner's mental health.
After going through a traumatic sexual assault by an unknown man and quietly dealing with the consequences to his mental health, documentary filmmaker Drama Del Rosario begins to document his recovery process. But when his facade of happiness reaches a suicidal breaking point, he realizes how much his own mental health has affected the mental health of his boyfriend Chris.
This rare personal documentary follows Drama's year-long journey of sexual assault recovery—from confronting a witness of the sexual assault, to coming out about his sexual assault experience to his Catholic parents in the Philippines. It is an honest and unspoken story about rape culture from the perspective of a young gay couple.
